Shakespeare knows how to make us laugh!
In this hilarious story of friendship, betrayal and lusty infatuation, two young men, Valentine and Proteus are learning about life and love as they make their way from Verona to Milan. Valentine's father is sending him to take a position in the Duke's court. Proteus accompanies him, reluctantly, not wanting to leave his beloved Julia. Meanwhile, Julia, and her maid Lucetta, disguise themselves as men and follow the boys to Milan. Add a dog named Crab and things get considerably more comical and complicated.
Once you know the story of Valentine and Proteus, you'll be wondering why you haven't met these "Two
Gentlemen" before.
